Putting sustainability in the spotlight.
In a rapidly changing retail landscape, retailers must be willing to evolve and step boldly into the future. In 2019, Ten Thousand Villages opened three new Maker-to-Market spaces, brick and mortar stores where customers could immerse themselves in the artwork of global artisans in a sustainably designed space. While the Brand Experience Design team worked to open the stores before the busy holiday season, I led the content strategy to introduce the concept to the Philadelphia Metro community. I wrote a blog describing the new shopping experience, mapped out a regional email campaign, teased the openings on social media, and worked with a PR agency to capitalize on growing sustainable consumer trends to bring the story to the media.

When Ten Thousand Villages debuted its first ever ethical baby collection, I enlisted the help of influencers who could promote the new product, organized a giveaway with other ethical baby brands, wrote 5 Sustainable Swaps For Your Nursery for the blog, and ideated concepts for marketing content. This served to introduce an exciting new line to our existing customers, reach out to a relevant new audience, and compile content to be used in future social media and email campaigns.
